everything passes      

going 

where it’s going

traffic

people

seasons

the earth waits 

camouflaged 

in beauty

to be fed


I lay words down

in layers

bone

on bone

a stack

of burials

in a crowded 

graveyard


Eva Eliav received an honour BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Toronto. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in a number of literary journals, including The St. Ann’s Review, Room, Emrys Journal, Ilanot Review, Flashquake, The Apple Valley Review, Horizon Review, The Enchanted Conversation, Stand, Constellations and Fictive Dream. She has published two poetry chapbooks: Eve (Red Bird Chapbooks, May 2019) and One Summer Day (Kelsay Books, March 2021).
